FREE REPAIRMAN

My husband is very busy with his work, his has been working overtime this past few weeks. During my day off I clean the house so well because it is very dirty and messy that is the only day I can clean the house during the week. When I went to my step daughter's room to put back the remaining pins and clip that I use to hang some of the gift that I received last Christmas I unfortunately wreck the doorknob on my way out. I told my husband about the door when he comes home in the afternoon and he checked what is wrong with it because I can't open it back. He told me that there are some loose screw in it. He called his dad about the problem to come to our house if he is not so busy one of this day to fix it.
Tonight when I get home from work my husband told me that the door is already fix. I called my father-in-law to tell him how thankful I am for doing it. He told me that after he drops me to work he just stopped by in the store to buy new doorknob to replace the old one and decided to do it before he goes home since it is on his way. He doesn't only fix our doorknob, but also the railings in our back room. My father-in-law does so many things for us and we are so thankful about it.

FILIPINO PARTY

There's not much Filipino in the place where I am living at the moment not like in California, New York or Texas where Filipinos are everywhere. Although we are not that much here so most of us know each other and become friends and every time we are having a special occasion or celebrate something special we invited each other to have a little gathering. Our husbands become friends as well and love to spend time with us and they enjoy watching us, as what my husband said he likes hanging out with my Filipino friends and with their husband because we are such a happy people every little things we do we always have a laughs or smiles in our faces.

If there's a party that means plenty of food in the table for us to dine. We all love to eat aside from talking from each other. We have a variety of foods in the table because everyone's bringing something. After the party, and still there were plenty of left over food some of us will bring some home also and wrap it or put it in a bag or any food containers we find. Every time we had a party it's always fun and I never feel bored hanging out with them.

TIME TO RELAX

Next week our boss will be giving us our new schedule again. She told us today that next week there would be a rotation for a cook because she wants us all to know how to cook and be ready whenever our turn to work on weekends come. If we work during weekends we will be responsible in everything and guide whoever work with us during that day. I don't mind switching position once in a while being a main cook scared me sometimes especially when there were dish that I find it hard to make. For a beginners like me who doesn't even know how to cook my own meal before I get married I will say I'm doing well in cooking, there are times that jail guard told us that the food we serve taste good and that she/he is afraid that she/he might gain weight sooner..LOL. Hearing a compliment makes me want to do my job more good and make sure that they are all satisfied with the quality and quantity of the food we serve it doesn't mean that even though they are locked up in the jail they deserve less.

I take pride of whatever job I did and I love everything I do. Everyday is a learning experienced for me and the people I worked with are all nice and that is the best thing. Working in a harmonious surrounding where everyone helped each other and the communication are so open makes me relaxed a little bit. Tomorrow I will enjoy my day-off and enjoy watching movies and do anything that pleases me without thinking the time.

MAKING APPOINTMENT FOR MY EYE CHECK-UP

Last Friday before we go to the library we stop by in the eye clinic to set up an appointment for me to see the optometrist. It has been two years since I had my eye check-up and that was before I came here in the United States. In the last quarter last year I told my husband about my plan so that he can start putting money on his flex plan for my eye check-up, eye glass and contact lens if ever I like to get one.
The receptionist in the eye clinic was so nice we had a good chat with her for few minutes while we are checking what day would be best for me since the optometrist is not always in the clinic every day because he had other clinic in another town and I have a worked as well during those days that he showed up. Good thing that the optometrist will be there around seven in the morning so I grab that spot to have my check-up before going to work.
I am glad that my husband had a good deal on his health benefits from where he is working, it helps us a lot and lower our bills for seeing a doctor all the time. I can't imagine where we are going to get the money for all the expenses for my medical check-up. Having a health insurance can save us from a lot of headaches, especially during emergency because when you go to a hospital and clinic they always ask about it.

PREPARING TO GET MY DRIVERS PERMIT

Yesterday was my day-off from work and it has been a week since I last clean the house. When my husband got home from his work he asked me to changed clothes because we are going downtown to go in the library to borrow a video tape about learning how to drive, traffic rules and road signs for me to watch on getting my drivers permit. I had a driver's manual already that I borrowed from a friend, but all the information I read in their won't stick into my mind. My husband already pursued me to get a driver's license now that I had a reliable job. For now it is my father-in-law who brings me to work and my husband pick me up after my work.

We had another car in our yard that we bought this summer from a friend that I can be used for practice driving I rather want my father-in-law teach me how to drive than my husband because he had more patience....LOL... and my father-in-law agreed already on teaching me to drive. Near our place there is an auto repair shops if ever I accidentally done some damage on our car, but hopefully not. I am now excited to get the exam so that I can have my drivers permit and learn how to drive for my own needs.

CREDIT/DEBIT CARD

I am used to having a cash on my wallet so that every time I need something or want something then I can pay it directly. That is my lifestyle when I was in the Philippines I had only a bank account because I needed it for my job because they are going to deposit my salary in my bank account directly. My knowledge about bank transactions is limited because it is the company where I worked before open my account for them and then give me the card with my own PIN code.

When I arrived here in the United States everything has changed. My husband brings me to the bank to put me in his bank account and to sign some documents. My husband told me that he wanted me to have my own credit/debit card because I am not with him every time and he can't give me cash money all the time whenever I wanted to go out alone with my friends or with my mother and father-in-law. At first I am hesitant on having my own credit/debit card, but later I understand because every time I go to a mall everybody just swiping their cards to pay or writing a cheque. Bank company offers internet merchant account processing services nowadays to help serve customer in a more convenient way.

MY BOSS APPRECIATES MY JOB

I call my husband thirty minutes before my work is done because my overtime is cancelled for today I thought I have overtime today because last week my boss asked me. It has been a very rush day for me doing all the prep work for the cook for tomorrow, doing the breakfast and Huber bags and setting the food tray for lunch and dinner. I am glad I do all the things that needed to be done for today and tomorrow's preparation although at first I had a doubt accomplishing all the task in the list.

I go out fifteen minutes later than my usual off time because I need to clean the tables, set aside all the utensils I used and turn off all the machines. On my way out my boss told me how thankful she is for all the job I've done because she knows how much I do today for just a short time. Hearing those word is enough for me knowing that she appreciates all the effort I've done although I'm so tired, but it's OK tomorrow is my day-off I had enough time to take a rest.

VALENTINE'S DAY IDEAS FOR GIRLS AND WOMEN

Every time Valentine's Day come before I am not as excited as I am now. My husband surprised me with some gifts and flowers last year and I wasn't expecting it because I was out together with my friends and my mother-in=law playing bingo and when I get home it was all there that was the very first time I really felt that Valentine's Day is something special. I feel ashamed of myself because I have not even think to buy something or anything for my husband for that special occasion. This year I made sure that I will be going to get something for my husband his been so good to me and to my family. It doesn't have to be that fancy, but something that he can use or he would like.

I know my husband is also looking for something that he will be going to give me on Valentine's Day and as usual he will be going to hide it somewhere where I can't find it. It does really take time to think what we are going to give to our loved ones for this special occasion. If you are planning on buying a gift this Valentine's Day ideas for girls and women might help you find a perfect gift for your partner or someone special.

I AM THE MAIN COOK NOW

After we serve lunch food for the jails, our Food Service Director called us to have a little meeting. She wanted me to be the main cook instead of a prep cook because our district manager told her that she was not always there to help our main cook understanding all the directions and ingredients in the recipe book. Our main cook is a Chinese girl and she has a hard time understanding English although she works in the same kitchen for almost nine months, but all the food menu in the new administration is all new to her. I tell them that I was there to work and not to choose what to do, as long as there would be no problem with my other co-worker it's fine with me.

Everything settled, then I start my new job as the main cook that day, although I am nervous with my new responsibilities I am glad that my co-worker is so nice and so supportive with me. She had no angst in all the decision that was being made. I feel blessed to have a co-workers like them, we didn't let things or situation ruin the bonding that we had already started.

CRAZY SUNDAY WORKING IN THE KITCHEN

The main cook and I have an alternate days off during weekend and I know that it would be a disaster knowing that I will be working with someone who have no knowledge on what she is going to do.

This weekend I was assigned as the main cook and we had plenty of failures because my prep is still on training. The jail guard call me early this morning and informed me that the breakfast bags that were being prepared for them had lacking cereals. This afternoon the jail guard called me again telling me that there are food trays that has no food, I feel ashamed about it so I asked sorry for them because the girl who is assisting me is new and when I asked her if all the food trays have food already she said:"yes" and before we deliver the food all I do is to re-count the food trays to make sure that all the counts are right. The jail guards was so nice that they understand the situation.

Since we are also doing the dishes today we end up making breakfast bags so late and this time to make sure that everything is in there I do it myself and I let my prep do the packing of the coffee cake and cereals. It was such a crazy weekends for me and my first week in the work. All I do is to always put my best in everything I do and if there are some failures happened that is beyond my control I always made sure that I also do my best to fix it.

SIMPLE TIPS TO HAVE A SEXY BODY

I have been through a lot of adjustments when I came here in the USA and need to do so many paperwork's just to make sure that my stay in the United States is legal or else the Imigration will go after me. I stayed in the house most of the time doing household chores and taking care the needs of my husband while I am waiting for my green card. When I already had all my documents I can't work still because of economic crisis the country is facing. I gain too 30-40 lbs during those time luckily the cousin of my husband asked me to work for him in the company where he is working because they had some urgent order that was needed to be shipped out. Working in that company helped me lose some weight that I gained from the previous months.

There are people who can easily lose some weight by reporting to working every day and some prepare to lose weight through exercising, yoga or even surgery just to have the great body shape they always wanted to have. Surgery is expensive, but some people don't care about the price and pursue themselves to do it. If you are one of these people who have a problem in your diet or weight lap-band cy-fair can probably help. All you need to do is to click the link I give and read carefully what other helpful tips they can offer to you to have the good shape you always dream of in the future.

CAR CLINIC

MY husband buy another vehicle it is not a brand new car though just good enough for me to use when I am going to start my driving lesson. We can't afford to send me in a driving school because it is too much although going to a driving school is a great idea because it would be more safer for me to drive and they will be going to teach me everything I need to know. At this point of time we can't spend that much money we have to pay first our bills. My father-in-law offered to teach me if ever because he had more patience than my husband, don't need someone to fight with me while I am driving, I need to focus my attention to what I am doing or else I will be in danger.

Since the car was a secondhand he had to check that everything is in good condition and go to auto body shop montclair for a routine check-up. He doesn't want to take any risk so he wanted to make sure that everything is running and functioning well especially in our place that we encounter heavy snow. I don't want to be stranded out of nowhere when driving in this kind of weather, thinking about it made me scare already. I know his doing the right thing to make sure about my safety as well.

ADVANTAGE OF HAVING YOUR OWN VEHICLE

Way back then when I was still living in the Philippines I am always wishing to drive one day any kind of automobile or vehicle. We only had a public vehicle in our place for our transportation, not too many people can afford to buy a car or any type of vehicle they wanted to have only those in middle and upper class. That time I was always wondering if there would be a chance for me to have even just an old ugly car that I can call my own or even just got a chance to drive one...LOL.

I was not expecting that owning a car in a future would be possible especially now that I am living now here in the United States. In the place where I lived I need to really know how to drive or else there won't be no chance for me to go whenever and wherever I wanted to go unless my husband or father-in-law drive me around. Just recently my husband agreed that I should get a driver's licensed so that I can drive myself especially when I need to go to work. It is really a big challenge for me knowing and be familiar with all the part of the car and each use. Last week my husband's cousin are cleaning his motorcycle and because of my curiosity I asked him some of the function of those parts. He showed me the clutch, brake, mirrors, shift racing gear, etc. He told me that one day he will be teaching me how to drive it and I am looking forward to that day to come.

MY TRAINING AS A COOK IN THE COUNTY JAIL

Yesterday afternoon my boss in my new job call me that I need to report for work today to have a little training on how everything goes. As a cook there were days that I am in charge to make sure that all the food should be served in the proper hours for the inmates meal. It is a big challenge in my ability to accomplished this kind of responsibility. They should me how to operate all the equipment in the kitchen and all the materials and ingredients needed for cooking. I have to be very cautious and resourceful in all the things I do. Cooking in county jail is harder than what I thought it should be because every now and then the kind of job I do is different whereas working in a factory is easy all I need to do is to know how to do the process of the job and most of the time you are just doing one phase all the time. I really love to cook that's why I accepted the job and also there is a possibility that they are going to hire me full- time another good reason, but honestly this job is the hardest as far as I experience.
