Being away from the place where you grow up and where your whole family lived is hard, you will go through a lot of challenges that you will face all by yourself. My husband told me that I am a survivor because he never hears me complain about anything although I have been through a lot of adjustments ever since I arrive in the United States. I handle all the changes in my life so well because it is a part of the decision I made when I decided to get married with someone that is not from my country and most especially I love my husband so much. If I will be given a chance to go back and made a decision again I will still do the same, I never regret whatever decision I made because he has been so supportive to me and his family.
Thanks to the modern science communicating with my family way back home made easy and more convenient. I can call them through phone or talk to them over internet when they come online and chat with me. If you are in same shoes like mine and you miss your family, celebrating some special occasion away from home or even just wanted to say:"hello" to your family show your love by sending save the date postcards.
