MY SPECIAL WAY OF COPING AND NOT MISSING MY COUNTRY

At last I finally got the chance to watch my TV shows from the Philippines in my computer that I missed for couple of months. There are some of the TV shows that I watch every day before our old computer broke on me that was already over and I am eager to watch it. I can do many things I want through computer like watching news, TV shows, movies, read novels and many more. I really, really miss my homeland and watching movies or TV shows from my country makes me feel like I was still there although not physically...LOL...it is my way of coping and not get homesick too much.

MY NEW COMPUTER

I finally had a new computer, my husband decided to go to the city today to get me one. We didn't have the chance to buy a new monitor because we don't have that much money, but it is fine with me at least now I have a new central processing unit (CPU). I can still use my old monitor and the part that we buy is the most important part.

My husband hook it up when we get home and do a copy for system repair disc and system image back-up if ever we need it someday. We do buy also an anti-virus protection for the computer and a new webcam so that whenever I chat with my family and friends in the Philippines they can see me.

STOCKING WOODS

After I eat my lunch and talking to my husband on the phone, I decided to go out and stock the woods that he cuts the other night. It is so cold out I think the temperature is below fifty degree and the fact that there is no sun and it is windy outside makes it colder. I thought that the only woods I need to stock is the file in the front yard, but I was wrong when I load the wheelbarrow full of wood and bring it to the back of our house I saw a bunch of wood in there. My husband doesn't stock some of the wood that he cuts he just dump it and continue cutting wood. It took me four hours to stock them all makes my back aches.


When my husband got home he just put his lunch bag inside the house and decided to go out again and continue cutting woods and he asked me if I can help him stock the woods again. Although my back is aching already I can't say no because we need to finish cutting all those wood before the big snow come which I think would happen sooner. I got inside the house past six in the evening and cook food for dinner.

WAITING FOR THE CALL

As I was preparing myself to go to work today and also packing some foods for my lunch my attention is all in the phone waiting will it would ring because last time when my husband's cousin drop me in my house he told me to wait for his call because he is not sure if I still have to work today since there is not much job to do in the factory anymore. Although I am not sure yet if I still have work today I have to make sure that everything is ready because I don't want to do things in a hurry.

I do hope there is still some job coming for me next time if in case I don't need to work now and who knows until when...LOL... It's OK I can have time helping my husband cutting and stacking our wood so that everything will be ready before winters come although I love going to work as well because I enjoy it aside from earning and less stress as well.

SNOWING AGAIN IN THE MONTH OF OCTOBER

We are done working thirty minutes earlier than the expected time that we should have finished our work and my co-worker who gives me a ride today asks me if I wanted to go home and since there is nothing left for us to do anymore I agree with his idea. As we go out from the building where we are working I thought that it is only raining, but I was wrong because there is also a snow together with it. As we drove home rain and snow becomes heavier that we can't almost see the end of the road we are heading for.

The hills and ground are almost covered with snow again knowing that it is only month of October now it shouldn't be happening as far as I'm concerned, but the work of nature's really unpredictable and full of mystery. I hope everybody have a good weekend.

I have an aunt who lived in New Zealand for more than ten years now and she has a daughter. Every four years her whole family goes home to the Philippines and stayed for couple of weeks for a vacation. MY HUSBAND MAKE BROWNIES AND CHOCOLATE CUPCAKES

My husband love to cook and when he is in the mood you can't stop him in the kitchen he will do whatever pleases him. He already prepared all the ingredients and materials he needed for making brownies and chocolate cupcakes. He wanted to make something for me to bring to work for my break time. If he got time to take care of all my needs he always does it to help me and make things easier for me although sometimes he is stubborn and hard- headed like me....LOL... anyway I am happy to have those treat for my break time at work I have some of my favorite food with me.

PREPARING FOR WINTER

This afternoon while watching movies I feel asleep in the couch and when I wake up I can't find my husband. I decided to go outside the house to check where he went and I find him in front of a huge stock of woods that we buy. He asked me if I can help him stock all the woods that he has cut already so that he start cutting more. I can't say no to him because we do really need to finish cutting them before winter come I don't want to be outside cutting wood again when the snow is coming.

Hopefully this year we got enough wood for the rest of winter season because last year we always go to some factory near our place where we can get some scrap woods.

FALL SEASON

I always look forward for the trees to change their colors because last year it really amazed me how pretty they look that was my first time witnessing the work of nature. This year I am so excited to see it again unfortunately they are not as pretty as last year, they told me it is because of our weather we have a cold summer and just recently we have a snow that I think is not supposedly going to happen too soon.




The trees are almost done changing their colors, some trees has no leaves at all they already fall in the ground. Although it is not as pretty as what I expected it to be I still enjoy this time of the year, watching the different colors of the trees and seeing a group of birds flying to migrate to another place because winter is coming.

NOT SURE IF I HAVE WORK TODAY

Last night when my husband's cousin drop me off in our house from work I forgot to ask him if I still have worked today. Last Friday he told me that he is sure that I still have worked Monday, but for the rest of the week he is not sure.

After I need to do all my things online, I will start preparing my lunch and food that I needed to bring to work in case my husband's cousin decided to pick me up for work. I like working real job as well because that would be an additional to my income though the job I got is not always. I do hope someday I can find a real good job near our place so that I don't need to worry anything anymore and I can help my family too way back home.

EARLY SNOW

When I wake up early this morning and checked outside the house I was surprised to see the ground covered with snow, though my husband already told me that it might snow last night.

I didn't think that it is that cold already that the snow doesn't melt when it reaches the ground because it is still October and last year when I first came here it doesn't snow that much until like 2nd week of November.

The weather in Wisconsin really weird for me, one day it is nice and sunny and the next day it would be so cold.

CHEERING FOR BRETT FAVRE (GO VIKINGS)

Last night football game really makes my husband and also my co-workers really intriguing and sound so intense because they have been talking this for few days. The name Brett Favre got plenty of reactions both good and bad.





My husband is a big fan of Greenbay Packers, but also a number one fan of Brett Favre and this last couple years he was not on the team anymore because of the decision that the big bosses in Packers team made.

Last night my co-workers was listening to the game in the radio while working and every time Brett Favre made a touchdown they always cheer for him although he is not playing for their hometown anymore. I have one co-worker who doesn't like him and he doesn't want to listen to the whole game because the team where Brett Favre playing is winning.




When I got home I decided to sleep in the other bed so that I won't be disturbing my husband sleeping in the other bed, I know he slept late because of watching the football game. He has been looking forward for this game for long time now, wanted to see the reaction of the Greenbay Packers boss while Favre show them that his age is not a problem in playing football.

LOOKING FORWARD TO BUY A NEW COMPUTER

I have worked for the whole week this week my supervisor told me last Friday before he dropped me off to our house. I am glad to hear it when he told me this because that means my next pay check would be bigger and I got a chance to buy me a new computer because the one that I am using this time is so slow and I can't watch my show online because the speaker is not working too. This is one of the reason that I really wanted to have new computers, I already missed so many episodes on my favorite shows from my country that I always watch through online. I don't want to waste money to have a subscription for our TV just to have a Filipino channel since I can watch it for free on the computers and I can watch it whenever I want it without missing any episodes if there are days that I am busy and have no time.

PARTY WIVES

My friends and I go to one of our Filipina friend's place to have a little party. My friend Anna cooked the foods for our little party courtesy of the house owner....LOL...and the rest of us just talk and entertain her while she is cooking.


After dinner, we decided to sing in their sing a long machine, we love to sing we don't mind if we had a voice or not. Everyone in the party do their share, we don't want to spoil our day by not participating. It is not always we are together because we have our own responsibilities to our family so whenever we got a chance to be together we really enjoy each moment.
