BUSY NIGHT AT WORK

We got to work a little bit earlier than the usual time and my supervisor put me to work directly because of some rush job that they need to finish. It is a very busy night indeed at work today everybody is helping one another to finish the job before the time is up. The truck who will be going to pick up our finish product is waiting outside to have a full load so that they can leave and deliver the product to its destination.

There are some worker from first shift who stayed until six in the evening. I was assigned to help do some kits while some are doing the taping, stripping some material we need to put in a kit and retouching some materials that have a little bit damage.

I HAVE A LOOK-A-LIKE

At work while I was busy doing my job one of my co-worker come to my table and told me that I look like his youngest sister and I was surprised when he told me that though even before I already encounter same thing with some people because he is an American and I am a Filipino and for me that is not possible, but he insisted that it is true.

The sad part is that his sister is already dead and I feel sorry for him because they are still in a recovery stage and he said he was surprised himself too when he first saw me.

I told my co-worker that hope seeing me most of the nights while I am working with him does not make him sad. I feel awkward sometimes to know that you look like someone who is not in this earth already, but what can we do that is life.

I WAS PISSED

When the other bender operator left from work around midnight I decided to transfer the radio to my favorite station since there is no one left in that working area, but me.

After couple hours listening to it, my other co-worker who does not work in my workplace transfer the station of the radio to his kind of music without even asking me, to think that he had other radio on tuning to his station in the other side of the building.

Though it pissed me off I did not say anything because I am just a part-time worker while he is a regular worker. To make my feeling light I just sing songs from where I come from and ignore him.

TORNEDO WARNING

We are already working for couple of hours when we hear from the paging system that we need to evacuate to a safe area because there is a tornado warning.

All employee where I was working was sent to a concrete room and we stayed there for a while until our manager told us that it is safe now to go out and we need to start working again.

THE OLD WOMAN AT WORK

At work there are also few part-time worker like me, but they were sent by the employment agency. I was curious with the old woman that I was working with so one night when she was talking to me I asked her age; knowing that she is 81 years old amazed me because she is still working usually at that age she should be at home enjoying life instead of staying overnight working.

Though it is none of my business I wonder why her kids still allow her to work they should be the one taking care of her now, but they were not. I really do not know the real story, but I cannot help it I feel pity for her. When I start working at early age I let my mom stop selling fish in the street during late night and just let her stay home and enjoy life though she still takes care of our needs.

UNEXPECTED OVERTIME AT WORK

I just got home from work my feet are so sore from standing all night and my back is aching, we had a one hour and a half overtime tonight and I was not expecting it so I punch out the normal time I usually do and then my co-worker told me that we are going to stay until all the kit we are doing is all done because it would be ship out tomorrow.

One of my co-worker tease me that my husband would be wondering where I am because I will not be home the usual time...LOL....my husband will be in his deep sleep when I get home usually and I do not think he will be going to notice what time I will be home because he will be working early in the morning and I do not want to bother him because I know he needs to rest.

VISIT THE NEW BORN BABY

It is such a wonderful day so my husband decided to go out for a short buggy ride to pick up some part that he buys for our wood stove. Then, in the afternoon we go to his cousins place to visit the baby.

His wife still moves slowly today because of her operation and he takes care of them well. He took off from work for a week just to be with his wife and his new born baby and he does not know when he will report back to work yet.

Their baby girl is really so cute and adorable the physical feature looks like him. I love carrying the baby she smells so good and her skin is so soft. My husband and his cousin tease me that if I will let the baby cry I will not be allowed to visit the baby again....LOL...they love teasing me because I know how to take it and throw it back again to them..LOL. He makes wonderful dinner for us and oh my it tastes so good that is why when we get home I ask my husband to cook that same food his cousin made for us someday.

INTERESTED TO KNOW HOW TO PLAY PIANO

Every time I help my mother and father-in-law serving in the senior center where old people used to hang out together and eat, there is a piano sheet music together with the piano in one corner and only one woman can play it really well my mother-in-law told me; and she is not always in there because of her condition.

One time when she was there she played for everybody and I was amazed because she still remembers all the chords of the song although she had a problem in remembering things and people, but when it came to playing the piano she had no problem at all. I love listening and watching her while she was playing the piano, she read the piano sheet music as if she is just reading a novel; I feel envious because she really played well.

TIRED FROM WORK

My back and my hands feel so sore last night from working I am glad my husband wake up when I go to bed and I asked him to massage my back because they really hurt.

He massages my back and my arms for several minutes just to help ease the pains even though he is really sleepy and it helps really put me to sleep well and I did not even notice when my husband give me a kiss when he went to work this morning. When he called me in the phone during his lunch break he told me that he does not bother me too much because I look so tired.

Another fun and challenging work is waiting for me today, my co-worker DAVID will be going to pick me up since my husbands cousin is on leave from work.

I MEET CORY DAVIS

I was not able to go to church today with my friend because my husband asks me to go with them to a car show. We leave from home around seven in the morning and reach in there at eleven.

After we park our dune buggies, and fill up the form needed for the car show entry we go back to the main entrance because my husband saw one of the car racer driver that he likes and introduce ourselves to him.

Cory Davis spent time talking with my husband knowing that he is one of his fan in car racing. He is a cool nice guy and he tells my husband his next location for car racing so that we can watch him.

THE HAPPY COUPLE

My husband wake me up so early this morning and he is so excited telling me that any moment today his cousin is going to be a father and even though I am still sleepy because I got home from work around one in the morning I jump out to bed asking him more details about it; he said he just got a call informing us that his cousins wife is in the hospital already and they are waiting when the baby would come out.

I was so excited for them as well and I cannot wait to see the coming baby so my husband asks his cousin if they got another development in his wife condition that they will be going to call us or leave a message.

He is the cousin of my husband who gives me a part-time job in the company where he is working once in a while since he cannot report to work he calls one of our co-worker to pick me up so that I can go to work.

UNEXPECTED CALL FOR MY PART-TIME JOB

I start early in the morning when my husband left to work I go out and start weeding the place where I want to make another flower garden.

I was so busy outside that I did not notice the time until my father and mother-in-law come together with Jared because I am supposed to watch him while they are gone, but I got an unexpected call from my husband's cousin asking me to work part-time again in the company where he is working; so they decided to just bring him with them so I can go to work.

I do not know until when I will be working in there, probably a week or two, but I do not mind all I want is that I can earn because it would help.

THE SEAGULL

On our way home from driving around the lake not too far we saw so many birds in the field; I was amazed because they covered one area of the field that it turns all so white makes me think that it is snowing again...LOL ......my husband said that the bird's name is seagull.

My husband decided to stop for a while to let me watch them and enjoy the beauty it brings to the field. We were there for about half an hour I cannot take off my eyes to them they are so lovely to look at while picking some food in the ground.

When we continue our way home my husband told me that I am like a kid; he says he love looking at my eyes every time I saw something new for me because they glow...hahahaha....I just love the work of GOD it has some magic to me and I cannot get enough of it.

THE BRIDAL SHOES

My cousin and his fiance are now busy preparing for their coming wedding. They were so busy for the preparations and details to make that day so unforgettable for each other even our family and close relatives are helping them to make this big day. The gowns and all the wardrobe for the bride and groom and for the rest of the entourage is all ready. My cousin makes sure that everything is all prepared and ready; she does not want any problems arise on their wedding.

OUR WATER IS BACK

My husband always go to his uncles place to get water for our daily needs and we just go to my in-laws house to take a bath because our water pump is not working anymore. It takes a lot of work to fix our water pump and yesterday they pulled all the pipe out in the ground to check them.

They found that some pipes have rusts that clog up the passage of water. My father-in-law clean it all while my husband with his friend is busy pulling the remaining pipe. Just this morning before I go to church they finished fixing our water pump.

Finally, our water supply is back after three nights without it. I am very happy to see the water coming out again in our faucets; now I am not going to worry to use water because we have enough supply already...LOL.....Good day everyone.

THE FIRST WOMAN PRESIDENT IN THE PHILIPPINES

My friend told me that the former president in our country just died and I did not know about it because I did not watch news too much in the website where I watch my Filipino shows. I just noticed that her daughter who is a very popular TV host is not in the television so I guessed that something is going on because on her last appearance on TV she already said that she might not be seen on her shows because she wants to be with her mom all the time and to support her mom with her battles in her illness. Her mom is diagnose with colon cancer several years ago.

Former President Corazon Aquino is a mother of five children and wife of Benigno Aquino the famous senator who were being assassinated in an airport; in his time he is one of the first person arrested and put in jail during Martial Law because he is one of the most outspoken critic of President Marcos during that time. After her husband assassination, she became more visible and active to pursue her husband's battle to set our country free from a dictator president.

She accepted the offer to run as a candidate for presidency against former President Marcos during snap election. She became the first woman president in the Philippines in the year 1986. Even though she did not have much experience about it and still had a five children to raise alone by herself and a country that is falling apart that needs her attention and some people that are against her because she is only a woman and during that time they did not think that she is capable of the job, but she manages to accomplish it all.

She has a very clean records and does not involve in anything bad during her six years in service to the country. Though she is not a president anymore she is still very popular to the Filipinos and she is well-respected. Her contribution to my country really means a lot both she and her husband are considered heroes in the Philippine history.
