LOOKING FOR JOB

My husband brings me down to the grocery store in town to get some application. I wanted to work it does not matter what kind of job, I want to earn my own money to help him too because we got plenty of bills that need to be paid and I have a family that I needed to send money as well.

I do not know what my mom does to get some money to buy their food. I cannot do anything for them now that is why I tried my best to find way to have even little income.

All I can do now is prayed that they are doing OK and can find ways to survive. I know my mom will be going to do something about it until I can send money to her.

OUR WATER PUMP IS NOT WORKING

When I run the washing machine to wash our dirty clothes it only operates for several minutes when it suddenly stops and when I call my husband to check it he said it is because there is no water supply so it quit.

He quickly call his father to check the water pump if he can do something about it. They check our main water supply and then my father-in-law said our water pump just broke and need replacement.

Jeff friend come over also to help him and they both decided to go to store to buy new water pump. I do not know what to do tomorrow we need water in mostly everything we do.

Hope it will be fixed sooner because it is really hard to have no water.

OUR CAT'S MESS

When my husband wake up this morning he told me that there are kitty poop in the floor in our back door where we put our kitty litter. I know for sure it is BRUISER because he loves digging too much after he poop. Before my husband leaves, he changed the kitty litter to minimize the bad odor in there and he asks me if I can do the cleaning on the floor because he had no time anymore to do it all.

When I was scooping the kitty poop all three of our cats are staring at me and I was so mad at them that I scold them; as if they understand what I was talking about...LOL....It is good to have them in the house because I have a company when my husband goes to work, but at the same time I feel like I do not want them in the house because they do things that I really do not like. They do so many nasty things already that my husband and I got so mad, but still we cannot throw them out in the house. They are also a part of the family.

MUSIC OF YOUR LIFE

Music has a big impact in our life whenever we are sad or happy we listen to it and even if we are just relaxing too. For me it is a very good therapy and helps me especially when I had a problem sleeping too. My husband always tells me that I am such a music lover because every time he gets home our radio is always tuning on in my favorite music station.

RAINY DAYS

Early this morning when I wake up it is so cold inside the house because it is raining so hard outside we have been waiting for this kind of rain for months now to help the growth of our garden. My husband asks me to spray insecticides in our garden if the rain would stop before he goes to work. The rain goes on and off it does not really quit until afternoon, and I like it because I had a very good sleep and I got the chance to do some weeding around the house where weeds grow so tall already.

These past few days I do not have enough time to do it because I am very busy in the garden. Though I am not yet done with it; it feels so good to see some clean spot already; the rain really helps a lot for me to pull the weeds easily and also to our plants in the garden which really needs it.

FAMILY REUNION IN THE BEAUTIFUL LAKE

We go to my husband's family reunion today, they need to wait for me until 12 noon because I still need to go to church and the rest of the family wants us to go to the location where it is going to be held together. We go there riding with the buggies and some ride in their cars.

There are already plenty of my husband's relatives when we got there and everybody need to put name tags to know one another. The kids and some adult have the fun swimming in the lake and others are just sitting in the chair talking to one another and enjoying the beautiful scenery. I love it out there the surrounding is so relaxing and peaceful though there are people out in the lake swimming it does not affect the good ambiance it has.

The siblings of my husband is so big so some of them do not know one another so they are all busy introducing themselves to each other and talking too. My husband introduce me to his relative to whom he is so close and does not know me yet. They are all so good to me as usual do not mind that I came from different country they welcome me as a person and as a part of the family.

We had a fun day indeed my husband says thanks to me when we got home because I do socialize with his relative a little bit.

AT THE PICNIC PARTY AND MAKING FRIENDS

My husband and I just got home from a picnic party that we attended we got so much fun out there the foods are awesome everyone brings something for all to eat. All the guys played horse shoe and golf outside because the place of that couple where we held our party has a beautiful big yard that they can play whatever they want. When guys having fun outside with their games some women are just inside the house talking to one another and some are outside sitting in one area while watching the man playing.

My husband and I gain some friends in that party we exchange phone numbers to keep in touch. It is not only Filipino who are in there; there is also Japanese, Chinese, Palestinians and Americans even though we came from different countries it does not stop us to enjoy each other's company we talk so many things and shared laughter to one another. Such a very fun day it is to mingle with other people and make friends.

BONDING MOMENTS WITH MY FRIEND

It seems like it would rain today that is what the weather forecast says when we watch news this morning before my husband leave to work, unfortunately it does not happen.

Our garden really needs rain to help their growth. When the town buzzer is on I go inside the house because I know that it is twelve noon already and my husband will be going to call me. We just talk for a short time and after I am done talking with my husband the phone rings again and it is my friend asking me if she could come to my place. It is not a problem with me since I do not have much to do around I am already done planting the flowers that I got last night from my husband co-worker so I told her to come. Her husband just drop her off in our place before he goes to work. She just feel bored at home and so do I.

We did not do much in my place just cook Filipino food and talk a lot as usual...LOL...we talk different things not much in particular and we love to laugh too. She goes home almost ten in the evening her husband just pick her up after his work and they go home together. Such a great day for me and for my friend we do things that we both love and have a little bonding moments.

BEAUTIFUL GARDEN

During the lunch break of my husband when he calls me he asks if we had planned for today because his co-worker asks him to go to their place to cut some trees and he will be going to give me some flowers that they had. Since we do not have planned we decided to go there after we eat our early dinner.

His co-worker is from Israel when I saw their house it made me really say ....WOW....it is one of the beautiful yard I have been into; the flower beds are well made and they had different colors and shape of flowering plants in there, they have a hanging plants and in their front and back deck they have plenty of flowers they mix different flowers and colors in one pot as well very creative and artistic. I really love it makes me wish that it is mine....LOL......well they give me plants and seeds of the flowers for me to make mine.

My husbands co-worker and his wife is very wonderful people; his wife and I have a good talk we do both miss our simple life, foods, and the neighborhood way back home. From the place where we come from everyone knows one another and you will never get bored and lonely because the neighbors come to your house or you can go to their house at the same time any time you want. While we were reminiscing and laughing together our husbands are busy cutting trees and loading it in our truck. We go home with plenty of stuff that we get from his co-worker and after my husband unloads everything I ask my husband to take shower because he is so dirty from cutting all those trees.

OUR FUTURE FRONT PORCH

This afternoon my father-in-law come into our house to do some carpentry job in our front porch that they started doing this summer. There are still a lot of things to do first and also materials that needed to buy to finish our future front porch.

At this point he just does some things that he can according to what materials present. We need to budget currently because we have a plenty of bills to pay first and also we are going to pay the other half of our tax payment. When my father-in-law decided to go home he was all sweaty from working out there.

When my husband got home he saw what my father-in-law did and he was so thankful too because if it is only him working for that front porch it would take longer to finish it because he had to go to work and still have other stuff in the house and in the garden that needs his attention. His dad is really a big help for us we do not need to approach him to do something for us, but he will do it by himself freely.

THE PEST IN OUR GARDEN

My husband was so mad when he saw the seeds that he just replaced from those seeds that do not grow because the crow and other birds chew them. When he visits in the garden this afternoon he saw some of the seeds are in the surface of the ground and being chewed again. Later that afternoon when I was inside the house scrapping the skin of the carrots I suddenly jump because I never expected him to light some fire crackers to scare the rabbits and chipmunks that visit in our yards. He just laugh so hard when he saw my reaction.

I hope that the rest of the seeds that we replant will grow sooner so we can harvest it before winter. The problem here for people like my husband who loves gardening is the climate change because there are plants that do not like cold weather, but there are some who will survive until fall. There are also seeds that we planted early like the garlic; we planted them right in the middle of fall season because they need more time to grow than the other plant we usually plant.

MY NEW HAIR CUT

My sister- in-law come to our house together with her husband and baby just to visit and I also ask her if she could cut my hair. I want my hair shorter than it is now because it is already too long for me and I only want it from a little bit below my shoulder and also they had split ends that I do not like the most.

We leave the guys inside the house with the baby while we go outside to start cutting my hair and she cuts four inches of it to get the exact length that I wanted. She told me to do some styles on it instead of having it just plain straight and I refuse because I do not like; I want it plain and simple straight cut and that is it.

When we go inside the house after she has done cutting my hair; my husband asks her if where is the rest of my hair goes so he can use it for himself and we just all laugh from his joke. Now that my hair is not that long I do not have problem anymore when we are having our buggy ride.

FUN DAY

When I got home from church my husband asks me if I want to go with him in the town he wants to listen to the live band playing music and later he wanted to watch tractor pull and I decided to go with him. The band plays mostly sing old songs and I like most of the song they sing. They sing so good and so lively that the people who were in there go in the open space and dance with their music. My husband knows two of the band member, which is his co-worker and he introduces me to them.

When my mother and father-in-law arrived after their dune buggy ride the guys wanted to go to watch the tractor pull so I decided to stay to be with my mother-in-law because she does not want to watch it for it is so loud and she cannot stand the noise.

My mother-in-law together with the other people in there watching the band playing had a great time listening to their music and at the same time dancing and I do enjoy watching them too. They were so much fun to look and do not mind what kind of dance step they do; what matters is that they are having fun.

ANOTHER TROPHY FOR OUR BUGGY

Jeff wake up so early this morning to clean his favorite toy car our dune buggy because his going to enter it in a car show again and this time it is in our town. I never got the chance to go with him because he went town so early and I decided to just stay in the house and do some stuff in our garden and in the house and during noon my husband call me telling that my father-in-law will be going to our place to pick me up to come downtown and watch the show.

Even though it is a little bit chilly outside it does not stop the people to enjoy all the events that are going on in town. There is some band singing in one area, kid's contest, medallion hunt, car show and the food and drink are everywhere. In the car show there are plenty of cars mostly are old models, but still look good. In the afternoon around two they started to announce the winners for the car show and luckily the name of my husband is one of it he won the second place again and also his two uncle.

I tease my husband afterwards that he can have a collection of trophy in the house for this year for entering his buggy in car shows and he just laughed and told me that he hoped someday he won first prize.....LOL....what a wishful thinking, but it is OK as long as his happy.

GATHERING

We had a little gathering tonight in our house nothing special though just my husbands cousin and brother together with their wife who is also both Filipino is in there and we are planning to go out later. There is an event in our town today until Sunday and we decided to go there and watch.

During supper my husband just buy chicken and cook hand cut potato fries and we Filipino cook the liver of the chicken and fried some pork together with rice for dinner. All I do is watch my husbands niece while the mother is cooking ...LOL...I cannot take off my hands off her I really love babies...LOL....my brother-in-law says that the baby would be so spoiled he can see it he said and I just laugh as a reply. She is a very cute little baby very, very tiny and fragile and when she cries it sounds like a meow of a little cat....LOL....

NICE HELP

This afternoon when I was cooking our food for dinner my brother-in-law come to our house to check my father-in-law and Jeff's job in our new front porch because he knows more about carpentry and my husband had a little problem about it because it is not properly align. I notice that he looks better now than before because her wife cut his hair and let him wear a very decent clothes too because he had some job interview.

Him and my husband talk for a while then, he figures out the problem and he gives some advice to my husband on how to fix it a little bit. How I wish our front porch will be done soon so that we can use it as our entry way instead of using the back door the kitty litter is in there and I feel ashamed people coming in from that way and smell the cats poop because sometimes it still stinks no matter how I clean that area.

THE CORN AND THE WEEDS

The weather is so cool this past few days so I got the chance to do the weeding in our garden, the only part left for me to weeds is the corn area and if you are not familiar of how corn look like you cannot tell which one is the corn and which one are the weeds because there are weeds that look like corn too.

After I am done weeding, I need to replant again some corn because there are some spot that has no corn because crow dig the seeds out in the ground and eat them just like our bean seeds; they eat it too only few come out, but mostly are not so Jeff replant again yesterday afternoon.

It is not that easy to maintain a garden; even though we only have little garden, but still it consumes more of our time, but it is worthy because in a few months we can harvest fresh vegetable out there. I like eating fresh vegetable they do not only taste well, but also a healthy food and a good source of vitamins.

IN THE GARDEN

Our garden really takes a lot of our times especially if the weeds coming out I had to go out there and weeds the plant so that they do not have a competition for the nutrients and water they can get from the ground.

My husband just laugh at me because whenever I do weeding I always want that all the weeds should be in a pail and throw them in one area away from my garden and I got angry if he helps me and just leaves the weeds he pulls in the ground. His good in planting he always makes sure that all plant must be arranged and he uses many things like string and stick just to make sure the line is straight.

We make a good team as what my in-laws say. I can say all the effort we put in our garden has paid off because everyone he brings and showed the garden said that it is very clean and healthy.

BUSY DAY

I started my day taking care of all the needs of my husband before he goes to work and when he leaves to work I go out in our garden and check our plant and do some weeding since it is still cold out and while the sun is not out yet; did not notice the time until I feel the heat of the sun on my skin. I go inside the house and eat my breakfast and just relax for a while and then decided to go to the public library here in our town riding with my bicycle to bring the video tape that I borrowed from there.

When I get home I start making corn meal buns which my husband requested for me to make and when I am waiting for it to raise I decided to make a sugar cookies also to surprise him when he gets home I know how he loves it. It is hard doing both things since I am not use doing it alone, but I am glad it turned out OK. Especially when I see my husband look in his face when he got home and saw all his favorite treat is in the table. All the effort I put in making it is all worthy because he said that it taste good.

BABY SHOWER

I attend mass this morning and when I get home I saw my husband eating while cooking the rest of the pancake and got a chance to join him for a brunch (breakfast and lunch) after eating, my husband and I go out with our truck to pick up my mother-in-law and go to my friend's place so that we can go together to attend a baby shower.

There are plenty of people already in there when we got there Filipino and Americans are in there bringing gifts for the future baby of my friend's name Rose. There are also plenty of foods in the table, everyone enjoying one another company talking, laughing and eating ....LOL.... my favorite thing.

When Rose starts to open the gift all the woman goes in one room watching what gifts she gets for her baby while her sister-in-law helping her. She got plenty of clothes, blankets, diapers, shampoo, car seat, jackets and some winter stuffs and so much more for the baby. Everyone are so excited for the baby to come out and all the things the baby needs are already prepared and set in one bedroom.

OUT FOR FUN

Early this morning we leave the house to go out for a buggy ride just to go to a fair in the other town, every week this month and for the next month we have successive event that is being held in each town it is fun to go in there they have different thing happening like a car show, bingo, tractor pull and many more.

Before we go there, I call some of my Filipino friend and invited them to play bingo with us and we will just meet in there. I have been waiting for them to call me back so that I know where they are, but it does not happen so we just decided to drive around together with Jeff's family with their buggies; in the middle of our fun ride I suddenly got a call from my Filipino friends together with their husbands telling me that they are already there in the bingo area playing and waiting for me to show up.

JEFF and I decided to drive back there and ask sorry to his family because we cannot continue our buggy ride with them and I am glad that they understand it because they already know at first that I wanted to play bingo. We got home finally around seven in the evening and enjoy the whole day.

BIG HELP

My father-in-law come into our house today to get the payment for the belt that he buys for our lawn mower. It has been a month now since we did not mow the lawn because our mower is broken.

After my father-in-law get the belt in the store he then started fixing the lawn mowers while I was just inside the house doing my household chores before I can start my little business in computer.

When my husband got home he had the chance to help my father-in-law putting up together some of the parts that he tore down to replace the damage belt.

I am so lucky to have a very good in laws that are always there to help us when we needed them.

EATING CARROTS

I was out in the garden this afternoon to water the plants, mostly our vegetable grows healthier, but there are couple that the growth is not that good like our eggplant and celery.

We tried to do something to help them grow, but still it does not work. After I am done watering the plants, I decided to pick some carrots to thin them out because we had thousands of them, and to help their growth so we can harvest healthier carrots before winter.

My husband and I love to eat fresh from the garden baby carrots; they are crunchier and sweeter I just peel off the skin using the knife and then we have a healthy and yummy snacks sometimes he brings it to work and eat during his break time.

JARED'S HOME

This afternoon my father-in-law come to our house and get Jared because his mom and dad will be home after a day and a night in the hospital.

We did not do much this morning I just let him watch movie and even though I always tell him not to play or grab our cats, he did not listen.

Until my husband call me during his lunch break and ask me what we are been doing all day; and then when I check Jared he got a scratch from the cat in his face and arms, I feel sorry about it, but I cannot do anything with it at the same time because I am not always with him and I had other things to do inside the house also before my husband comes home from work.

THE SCOOP

After lunch, Jared and I decided to go downtown to buy ice cream for him and a vanilla shake for me. Since my father-in-law is so busy we decided to walk to go to THE SCOOP the ice cream place.

Even though it is hot on our way to the ice cream place we do not mind it, just to keep us busy and not bothered by the heat of the sun I teach him how to count by two's. I am proud of him he does really pay attention and wanted to learn and he is not that hard to teach.

When we reach the ice cream place we fall in line first because there are plenty of people in there. I let Jared take order for himself and the saleslady find him so cute. Jared and I enjoy eating those ice creams while watching the people walking and cars passing in the streets while where sitting in one of the benches there.

BABYSIT

This afternoon my husband's brother brought his son in our house for me to babysit for about two days and two nights because his going to have some operation for his hand. I like watching his son because he reminds me of my nephew in the Philippines very talkative and curious about everything, but at the same time very sweet and adorable.

My husband cook us chicken for dinner and mashed potato with gravy, but I had my own food which my friend gives me, it is my favorite shrimp soup together with rice. After dinner, I let Jared take a bath and then afterwards we watch a funny movies which we all like and Jared feel asleep watching it.

FIREWORKS

My fascination with fireworks started when I was a kid, but at the same time I am so afraid to light one, honestly I never light even one fireworks in my whole life. Last night since it was independence day in AMERICA some town near my place had a fireworks display that is so awesome and really makes me ... WOW.

I had a great time looking at them, they got different colors and design when they explode up in the sky. Amazing how they make those things and I do really love watching it.

SO HOT OUT

After I make my husbands favorite egg roll, I go in the living room to relax and play with the computer while watching some shows in the television at the same time. Suddenly my husband asks me if I can help him plant the rest of our seeds like the cucumber, zucchini and onions.

When I look outside the house I said no because it was so hot out, told him to wait until the sun comes down then, I will help him, but as usual when it comes to his garden he do not listen he still goes out and do the planting.

My father and mother-in-law then arrived and stop to our house, they drive around town with their dune buggy and I talk to them for a while. They told me that I got a hardworking gardener outside and I just laughed and agreed.

CAR RACING

I just wake up and still feel so tired, we got home last night around midnight from watching car racing. We drive for an hour from our place to the place where car racing was held together with my father-in-law and his daughter. There are plenty of people out there already. The excitement and thrill are all over the place when the racing start. For me I like the most when there are plenty of cars in the race track and smashing each other.

They had different features of car racing out there like mid west modified, modified, super stock, street stock and pure stock, but my favorite was not there the sprint cars. Though my favorite racing car was not there I still have fun watching and also they had a beautiful fireworks last night really amazing how they do some of them there is one that looks like a fountain of water with different colors really, really beautiful.

My husband and his daughter got a chance to bond also because for a long time she was in the big city out for school and when she is in town she has no time to come and see her dad because she had some more important things to do first.

DANCE YOUR ASS OFF

I open our TV to watch some movie or shows that I would like to watch then, I saw this show for overweight people dancing to loss some pounds.

You cannot believe how soft there bodies are and how graceful mostly of them dance despite there weight. They do different kinds of dance like salsa, hip hop you name it they dance it...LOL...they are going to perform it for the judges to see and give scores to them and also they are going to be checked if they lost some pounds while doing it because it is included in the overall scoreboard.

I had a great time watching it to see how persistent the contestants together with their dance partners are in learning the dance routines, but at the same time they need to loss some weight too. The dance moves are cool everything in the show really fun to watch. Now I will keep watching it.

KILLING TIME

Since this whole day I do not have my computer working because of some problems that my husband cannot figure out and I get so bored I decided to watch the movie that I borrowed from the library. It is a very inspiring and a real life story.

After watching movie, I then start doing my household chores like cleaning the house and washing the dirty dishes, feeding the cat and scooping their poop ...LOL...I do hand wash my husband cap too to make him happy.

Just when he gets home from work he fixed the computer and now I am happy because I can do all the thing that I am doing over computer.
